Written translations

We offer two types of written translations:
  • Standard class -  used for the translation of working documents and documents intended for internal use.
  • Publication class - used if the translation is for wider readership, an external target audience or for publication.

Explanatory notes

  • All prices are expressed in euros and exclude Polish VAT (currently 23%).
  • There is a minimum fee for a translation of the equivalent of 100 words.
  • Please note: PDF files are NOT editable files, even if the text can be extracted from a PDF file using OCR or copy and paste.
  • Where it is not possible to assess the final cost before commencing work (for example, with non-editable files) then the settlement unit used is 1500 ASCII characters of translated text. The rates charged will be per page of such translated text at the equivalent of 210 words per page. 
  • We reserve the right to add a surcharge for highly specialist texts requiring consultation with external experts or the use of highly specialised translators. We will notify you in advance of any surcharge for specialist texts prior to confirming the order.
  • Simple tables are recreated at no extra charge. Complicated tables and graphics are charged at the equivalent of 100 words (excluding the text to be translated in the table or graphics). 
  • The rate for translations of hand-written or difficult to read texts (e.g. poor quality original) carries a surcharge of 10- 30% depending on the degree of difficulty. We will inform you of the increased rate immediately after we have had the opportunity to review the text in question and prior to confirming the order.
